NextGen goes around the world: four events in one weekend to showcase their talent

Egypt, Brazil, Spain and Belgium. These are not just the names of four countries, but also the locations where the FIP Promises Tour will stop this weekend. Two events will be held in Europe, in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and Middelkerke (Belgium), and one in South America, in Curitiba (Brazil). Another tournament will then be held in Egypt: the FIP Promises Playa 2026.

The FIP Promises Palma de Mallorca II will feature a packed schedule of matches and talent. A total of eight draws will be played: Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 for both boys and girls. In the boys’ highest age category, Martin Araguete Sales and Andres Ortuno De Pablo are the top seeds. Seeds No. 2 and 3 are Junior Brydolf-Carlos Garau Barbosa and Filip Sterner-Toni Villena Quiros, respectively. In the girls’ Under 18, Vega Cano Ortin will compete alongside Celia Martin, while Carlotta Burello will partner Angelica Margiotta.

At the other European event, in Middelkerke, there will be six draws in total: four boys’ (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18) and two girls’ (Under 14 and 16). The favourites for the title in the boys’ highest age category are Pablo Martinez and Eliott Verraghen. Several pairs will challenge them for the title, including those formed by Oliver Granthman and Marcos Nanez Gomez, and Hugo Iglesias Garcia Bustamante-Pedro Ortigosa Martin. In the girls’ draws, Portuguese star Francisca Cravo is set to compete: she will partner Dutch player Eleana Bakker in both the Under 16 and Under 14.

From Belgium to Egypt. The FIP Promises Playa 2026 will also feature seven draws: four boys’ (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18) and three girls’ (Under 14, 16 and 18). In the latter category, the home players will be aiming for the title. Among the pairs entered are Salma Elzayat-Hana Elshalkany and Lily Wael-Malak Amer. In the boys’ Under 18, the No. 1 seeds will be among the players to watch: Yassin Omar Youssef and Mohamed Atef Shebl.

The Brazilian event promises action in the boys’ Under 16 and Under 14 categories of Curitiba. In both cases, the same pair tops the draw: Paraguayans Hector Zorrilla and Jose Unger Rey. The two players will arrive in Curitiba with one objective: to secure a South American double. The matches will be played at the ‘City Center Outlet Premium’.
