San Luis, Day3. Ramme keeps Mexico dreaming: into the final with Dubins. Ruiz-Dal Bianco, what marathons!
August 22, 2026
The FIP Gold San Luis is a special tournament for Camila Ramme: the Mexican is playing on home soil and has an extra reason to dream of the title. Partnering Brittany Dubins, Camila can achieve that today, in a final worth 150 points in the FIP Ranking. Yesterday, Ramme and Dubins, as well as their opponents Lucia Martinez Gomez and Lucia Peralta, had to win two matches. While the first was settled in two sets, 6-1 7-5 against Argentina’s Luini/Mosca, the third seeds came from behind in the semi-finals to defeat top seeds Marta Borrero and Julia Polo 4-6 6-3 7-6. The second seeds, meanwhile, benefited from the retirement of Aitana Garcia and Ainize Santamaria after five games in their semi-final.
Comebacks and third-set tie-break victories also featured in the run of one of the two pairs contesting the men’s final. Alex Ruiz and Franco Dal Bianco, in the second match of the day, edged past José Luis Gonzalez and Alvaro Melendez 6-7 6-4 7-6 after a thrilling battle, having also gone the distance in the quarter-finals against Nacho Archieri and Pablo Vicente (6-3 3-6 6-3). The Spaniard and the Argentinian will face two more Argentinians in the final, Alex Chozas and Juani Rubini, who needed just two sets, 7-5 6-4, to overcome Alonso Rodriguez and Juani De Pascual.
