From Europe to South America: NextGen action in Sanremo, Paredes and Campo

ROME – The word ‘weekend’ is a perfect fit for the FIP Promises Tour. NextGen talents will compete at three events across Europe and South America. The venues are Sanremo (Italy), Paredes (Portugal) and Campo (Paraguay).

 

Seven draws: Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 boys, and Under 12, 14 and 16 girls. The FIP Promises Sanremo Padel Experience promises plenty of action on court. Gabriele Laurino and Stefano Indomenico lead the Under 18 boys’ draw. They are followed by Pietro Giovannini-Leon Ortega Ibanez (2) and Alessandro Stella-Martin Araguete Sales (4). In the Under 16 girls’ category, there are several pairs ready to compete for the title, from Eleonora Regini-Giuliana Di Martino to Carlotta Burello-Matilda Caratella, as well as Vittoria Conti-Marta La Carpia and Costanza Vanni-Flavia Maltese.

 

From Italy to Portugal, the situation is no different: the NextGen is ready to take centre stage with eight draws (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 for both boys and girls). In the oldest boys’ age category, top seeds Pieter Hermun-Daan Jans stand out. Their main rivals are Alvaro Abad Diaz-Rafael Reyes Moreno (2) and Hugo Iglesias Garcia Bustamante-Andres Ortuno De Pablo (3). The Under 18 girls’ draw features several interesting pairs, including Maria Francisca Santos-Maria Leonor Araujo Texeira and Ruth Peter Segarra-Aina Etxebarria. The Portuguese duo Pedro Gomes-Diego Castro are the No. 1 seeds in the Under 16 boys’ category.

 

At FIP Promises Campo 9, which will be held in Paraguay, five draws are scheduled: three boys’ draws (Under 12, 14 and 16) and two girls’ draws (Under 12 and 14). The young home talents will aim to win the Under 16 boys’ title. Matches at this FIP Promises Tour event will be played at the ‘FedeMar’ venue.
