October 1, 2026
ALMEIRIM – In the men’s draw of FIP Bronze Almeirim, in Portugal, one pair has a clear objective: to claim victory in front of their home crowd. They are Portuguese brothers Nuno and Miguel Deus, who are aiming to lift a trophy together again. To do so, they will have to overcome highly competitive pairs. Among them are fellow Portuguese players Pedro Graça-Pedro Araujo, who have won the FIP Bronze in Portimao and the FIP Silver in Lisbon in Portugal over the past two months (in February, they also won the FIP Bronze in Madeira). Also among the leading pairs in this CUPRA FIP Tour event are Iago Fuertes-Alejandro Garcia and Antonio Luque-Diogo Jesus.
The women’s draw features the home pairing of Clarinha Santos and Ana Catarina Nogueira. The two Portuguese players are the No. 1 seeds and will enter the tournament with one objective: to become champions on home soil. Their main challengers for the title are Lorena Vano-Carmen Castillon and Raquel Piltcher–Christina Styliani Ntanou. Italy’s Elsa Terranova, partnering Portugal’s Catarina Santos, will also be aiming for a strong result. The main draw will begin on Friday 2 October and conclude on Sunday 4 October, when the semi-finals and finals will be played.
