Thailand hosts another CUPRA FIP Tour event: Morales-Reina and Neizvestnaya-Terranova in focus in Samui

SAMUI – The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Thailand for the fifth of the seven events scheduled in the country this year. This further confirms the country’s growing importance for Padel in Asia: as reported in the FIP World Padel Report 2026, the number of clubs has now reached almost 200, an increase of 83.3% compared with last year, while the number of courts has grown by 105.7%. The Tour now returns to Samui for the FIP Bronze High Velocity, which gets under way with the main draw on Friday.

Miguel Morales and Pablo Reina head the men’s entry list, while Miguel Melero and Victor Tur lead the charge in the bottom half of the draw. The field includes numerous players from Asian countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as well as from Europe (alongside Spain, players from Portugal, Great Britain and Italy will compete) and North and South America (the United States, Colombia and Argentina). In the women’s draw, the top seeds are Angelina Neizvestnaya and Elsa Terranova, winners of last month’s event in Phuket, ahead of Malaysia’s Elysia Wan and Japan’s Chifumi Sato. Following Friday’s opening matches, the second round and quarter-finals will take place on Saturday, with the semi-finals and final scheduled for Sunday.
