October 10, 2026
MILAN – Anticipation is building for the spectacle, the excitement of competing on one of the world’s most prestigious courts and the determination to claim the title: Milan is set to become the world capital of padel. From Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October, the spotlight at the Allianz Cloud will be on the world’s leading male and female players for the fifth edition of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1. The draws are set, and the battle for the title can begin. The draw has mapped out the route to the final, where Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto will aim to retain their position at the top of the men’s game. In the women’s draw, attention will focus on Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez: the defending champions will compete this year with new partners, Bea Gonzalez and Andrea Ustero, respectively. The world number one pairs, Agustin Tapia-Arturo Coello and Gemma Triay-Delfi Brea, have one objective: to claim the Milan crown.
MEN – The men’s draw features 48 pairs. The 16 seeded pairs will receive a bye into the second round. Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, currently competing in the semi-finals of the Düsseldorf P2, will make their debut against the winners of the match between Italian player Aris Patiniotis, partnering Diego García, and a pair progressing through qualifying. Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto (2) will face Portuguese brothers Miguel and Nuno Deus or a qualifying pair. The same half of the draw as the defending champions also features the number 3 seeds, Leo Augsburger and Juan Lebron, who will open their campaign against either Juani Rubini-Alex Chozas or Marc Quílez-Fede Mouriño. Galán and Lebron, when they played together, won the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Milan P1. Jon Sanz and Franco Stupaczuk, finalists at the Rotterdam P2 and placed in the top half of the draw alongside Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, will begin against a qualifying pair. There is also considerable anticipation surrounding the Argentine pair of Gonza Alfonso and Tino Libaak, buoyed by their call-up to the Albiceleste national team for the FIP World Cup 2026 in Doha. They will make their debut against Tolito Aguirre, partnering Pablo Gracia, or a qualifying pair. The first round will also feature an all-Italian clash between Simone Iacovino and Giulio Graziotti and the pair of Italian-Argentine player Enzo Jensen and David Gala. The potential quarter-finals are: Tapia/Coello (1)-Guerrero/Leal (6), Stupaczuk/Sanz (4)-González/Campagnolo (7), Augsburger/Lebrón (3)-Di Nenno/Navarro (5), Lijó/Yanguas (8)-Galán/Chingotto (2).
WOMEN – The women’s main draw features 28 pairs, with the four seeded pairs receiving a bye into the second round. World number ones Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea will begin their Milan campaign against the winners of the match between Lea Godallier-Daiara Valenzuela and Noa Canovas-Beatriz Caldera. Milan’s defending champions, Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, will take to the court with their new partners. Sanchez will form the number 3 pair with the young Andrea Ustero; they are in the top half of the draw alongside Triay and Brea. In the second round, they will face either a qualifying pair or Araceli Martinez-Lucia Martinez. In the opposite half of the draw, Josemaria, partnering Bea Gonzalez, will face the winners of the all-Spanish clash between Lorena Rufo-Victoria Iglesias and Spanish legend Lucia Sainz, who is partnering Leti Manquillo. The number 4 seeds, Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo, winners of the London P1 in August and finalists at the Paris Major, will open their campaign against either Virginia Riera-Julieta Bidahorria or Jessica Castelló-Laia Rodriguez. One of the highlights of the round of 32 will be the all-Italian clash between Giulia Dal Pozzo and Giorgia Marchetti, partnering Nuria Rodriguez and Laura Arruabarenna, respectively. The potential quarter-finals are: Triay/Brea (1)-Guinart/Alonso (7), Sanchez/Ustero (3)-Salazar/Ozoro (8), Calvo/Fernandez (4)-Ortega/Araujo (5), Jensen/Icardo (6)-Josemaria/Gonzalez (2).
