Yob and Díaz for a second triumph in October: after Asunción, the argentine pair look to Viña del Mar

VIÑA DEL MAR – Two weeks after their victory in Asunción, Leonardo Yob and Naim Horacio Díaz are looking to claim a second title in October at the FIP Bronze Viña del Mar. Díaz has already enjoyed success at this venue, having won the title in Viña del Mar alongside Antonio Graupera in September. The Argentine player and Yob also claimed victory at the FIP Bronze Paraguay III in early September.

Yob and Díaz are the second seeds in the men’s draw, which is headed by Argentine pair Francisco Maier and Maximo Jesus Maldonado. Last month, Maier won the FIP Bronze Castro in Chile alongside Santino Contreras. Maldonado, meanwhile, has already claimed two titles this season on the South American CUPRA FIP Tour: the FIP Bronze Iquique in Chile and the FIP Silver Joinville in Brazil. Also among the pairs to watch in Viña del Mar are Mateo Alvarez-Antonio Graupera and Mateo Rivero-Vinny Nahuel Di Francesco Calderon. The main draw will begin on Friday 23 October and conclude on Sunday 25 October, when the semi-finals and finals are scheduled to take place.
