Record numbers for live match coverage on the FIP website and surge in streaming channel subscriptions
November 3, 2026
A total of 179 countries connected, with 88,000 unique users tuning in to follow the live matches: on its opening day, the 2026 FIP World Cup delivered an outstanding result for the International Padel Federation’s website, matching the audience record previously set during the world championship final two years ago. A new benchmark that confirms the event’s global reach and growing interest in international padel.
Spain tops the list of countries by traffic, accounting for a quarter of the total, followed by Argentina. The biggest surprise, however, is Indonesia in third place, reflecting the interest generated by the country’s women’s team’s first-ever appearance at the FIP World Cup in Doha. The rest of the top 10 countries sending the most traffic to follow the matches are, in order, Italy, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Chile and the United States.
These are significant figures, especially considering the extensive TV and streaming coverage that makes the FIP World Cup available to audiences around the world, allowing fans to follow their favourite matches on a range of devices and on television. In less than 24 hours, on Monday 2 November alone, the FIP YouTube channel, which broadcasts the live matches, gained no fewer than 10,000 new subscribers. This trend is expected to continue as the tournament progresses.
