FIP Euro Padel Cup 2025, record entries with 66 national teams. PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 in Madrid from 7 to 13 July

New name, new format, but also new record number of entries. As many as 66 national teams will be taking part in the FIP Euro Padel Cup, the top continental competition organised by the International Padel Federation in cooperation with Padel Europe and, regarding PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 scheduled at the Padel G24 Club in Madrid from 7 to 13 July, also with FEP, the Spanish Padel Federation.

Numbers that testify to the development of Padel and the great demand for the participation of European countries in the competition: this year there will be 36 national teams at the start of the men’s tournament and 30 for the women’s tournament, with an increase of 15 national teams compared to the 2024 edition of the FIP European Padel Championships (with the final stage played in Cagliari) and even 37 compared to the 2021 edition in Marbella. A global trend, not only European, considering that between 2018 and 2024 the national teams registered for the FIP World Padel Championships increased from 51 to 98.

In the men’s draw, the eight newcomers are represented by Andorra, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Luxembourg, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia; in the women’s draw (10) by Andorra, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova and Romania.

The FIP Euro Padel Cup will be held as follows:

PHASE 1 (Madrid 8-10 July): competing are the men’s and women’s national teams affiliated with the International Padel Federation who are not admitted by right to PHASE 2 or the FINAL 8 on the basis of the FIP Ranking scores for nations. 21 teams will participate in the men’s competition (four groups of four and one group of five) and 14 in the women’s competition (two groups of three and two groups of four), with the first-placed teams in each group advancing to PHASE 2.

PHASE 2 (Madrid 11-13 July): 16 men’s and women’s teams will compete in four groups of four teams each, with the qualifiers from PHASE 1 joining the national teams already admitted to PHASE 2. The best team from each group will get the pass to the FINAL 8, where the best of Europe will compete.

FINAL 8: The top four teams of the FIP ranking are directly admitted to the FINAL 8 and to these are added the four teams qualified in Phase 2. The ‘magnificent eight’ will compete for the FIP Euro Padel Cup 2025 continental title. Venue and dates of the FINAL 8 will be announced in the coming weeks.
