Bmw Marmotor 25 Aniversario Club La Calzada, How many top 100 players in Las Palmas: Barahona-Garcia and Arruabarrena-Bidahorria lead the draws

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Spain. This weekend, the FIP Silver Bmw Marmotor 25 Aniversario Club La Calzada will take place, with both men’s and women’s draws.

In the men’s draw, the top seeds are Javier Barahona and Javier Garcia, ranked number 25 and 30 in the FIP rankings. They recently won the FIP Silver Mediolanum Padel Cup in Rome in April. On the other side of the main draw are Enrique Goenaga and Teo Zapata, ranked 45 and 38 in the world.

In the women’s draw, the top team is Lara Arruabarrena (semifinalist at the CUPRA FIP Finals 2024) and Julieta Bidahorria (semifinalist at the FIP Gold in Dubai in February), ranked 50 and 36 in the FIP rankings. On the opposite side of the draw are Raquel Barrera (46) and Maria Rodriguez (33), who reached the quarterfinals at the P2 in Brussels.

The tournament will take place in Las Palmas (Canary Islands, Spain) from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4, and will award 80 points for the FIP ranking.
