El Prat Barcelona I, a NextGen celebration with over 170 pairs entered

Over 170 pairs signed up for one of the most anticipated NextGen tournaments of the year. The FIP Promises El Prat Barcelona I turned into a real celebration of young padel talent from Europe and South America, with eight draws (four men’s and four women’s) and five days of competition, from the qualifiers to the main draw.

It all started with the youngest category, Under 12: the boys’ title went to Pablo Martinez and Oihan Resano, while the girls’ crown was claimed by Vera Dominguez and Paola Soriano. In the Under 14, Italy’s Raffaele Tatullo and Tommaso Rufo took the win in the boys’ draw, while the girls’ title went to American Ornella Beltramino and her Spanish partner Valeria Garcia Martinez.

A great battle unfolded in the Under 16 boys’ final, with Mario Brocal Aviles and Jaime Rodriguez Gonzalez coming out on top after a tight three-set match. In the girls’ Under 16, the winners were Aina and Adriadna Valls Izquierdo. Finally, in the Under 18 category, Jose Enrique Gimenez Barcelona and Alvaro Pozo Marroyo claimed the boys’ title, while Laura Ferrer and Andrea Arcos triumphed in the girls’ draw.
