Guimaraes, new international title in 2025 for Piltcher and Valenzuela

Victor Mena (117) and Pau Miñano (139) in the men’s draw, Raquel Piltcher (130) and Daiara Valenzuela (91) in the women’s draw: these are the winning pairs at the FIP Silver in Guimaraes, in Portugal.

Piltcher (winner of the FIP Bronze in Porto Alegre in July) and Valenzuela (winner of the FIP Bronze in Phuket) claimed their second international title of 2025 after a comeback win: 3-6 7-5 6-2 against the top-seeded pair Catarina Santos (ranked 92, winner of the FIP Silver in Metepec and FIP Bronze in Curitiba) and Aitana Garcia (87, reigning champion of the FIP Bronze in Abu Dhabi and the FIP Bronze in Crete).

It was the first international win of 2025 for the Spanish pair who won the men’s draw, thanks to a final victory 6-1 6-3 over fellow Spaniards Diego Dorta and Marcos Cordoba.
