Sevilla, Day3 women. Castelló-Rufo, the hunt for the “CUPRA FIP Tour Slam” continues

Bronze, Silver, Gold, now Platinum. Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo continue their pursuit of the “CUPRA FIP Tour Slam”: after winning tournaments in three different categories this year (Bronze in Cordenons, Silver in Porto and Isla de la Palma, Gold in Gran Canaria), the Spanish pair are also in the semi-finals at the Icónico Sports Social Club in Sevilla. In the quarter-finals, Castelló and Rufo defeated Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno 7-5 7-6 and today they will face Veronica Virseda and Aranzazu Osoro (6-2 6-1 against Lujan/Manquillo) in the match that will open the programme at 11 a.m. The other semi-final, which will start not before 5 p.m., will see the number 4 and 2 seeds face off: Ale Salazar and Martina Calvo (6-1, 6-3 against Goenaga/Caldera) on one side, and Claudia Jensen and Ale Alonso (6-2, 6-1 against Canovas/Rodriguez) on the other.
