Sassuolo, Marco Cassetta chasing a new record and Dal Pozzo-Ortiz aiming for a third title in Italy

This weekend the CUPRA FIP Tour stops again in Italy, after the FIP Silver Giulianova in July and just a few days before the new FIP Silver Mediolanum Padel Cup Torino, with the FIP Bronze Sassuolo (north of the country), which offers 40 FIP ranking points for the two winning pairs, men and women.

In the men’s draw, the top seeds are local player Simone Cremona (99) and Manuel Herrera (116), finalists at the FIP Bronze Westerbork and the FIP Bronze Creta. Right behind them are record-holder Marco Cassetta (the only player so far to win 13 titles on the CUPRA FIP Tour) and Federico Chiostri, who won the FIP Bronze Porto Alegre and the FIP Silver Veracruz this year.

In the women’s draw, the number one seeds are the Italian-Spanish duo Giulia Dal Pozzo (64) and Anna Ortiz (82), winners of two tournaments in Italy in 2025 (FIP Silver Mediolanum Padel Cup Palermo and FIP Bronze Nola). On the other side of the draw are Aimee Gibson (86) and Catarina Santos (92).
