The semifinals. Spain double finalist: faces Argentina in the men’s draw and surprise Portugal in the women’s

Today the semifinals of the FIP Junior World Cup in Reus were played, the competition for the best NextGen padel talents. Tomorrow – at 3 pm the girls, not before 5 pm the boys – the finals will take place.

MEN – Spain continues its perfect run, today also winning 3-0 against Brazil, without losing a set and giving away only eleven games in the three matches. In the final they will face Argentina, who beat France 2-1 thanks to wins by the pairs Medina–Ciccioli and Contreras–Esteban, who in total conceded only seven games in their two matches.

WOMEN – Spain also reached the final in the women’s draw, winning 2-0 again against Brazil with clear victories from the pairs Garcia–Martinez and Ferran Diaz–Vera in two sets. Tomorrow they will play the title match in an all-Iberian final against Portugal, who surprisingly beat Argentina 2-1 in a very close tie, with all matches decided in the third set. A historic achievement for the Portuguese, reached thanks to the 6-4 1-6 6-4 win by Gorito–Catarino against San Martin–Floriani in the decisive match.
