Day6. Paula and Ari’s first final in the Allianz Cloud. Coello/Tapia vs Chingalan, it’s your time again

Semifinalists in 2023 and out last year, Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez will play their first-ever final at the Allianz Cloud tomorrow, starting at 4.30 p.m. CET. The Spaniards, long-time dominators of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour, haven’t won a title since Valladolid, and tomorrow they’ll have a new chance to lift a trophy again. On the other side of the net, there won’t be Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, the pair that has ruled the tour this season: Gemma was forced to withdraw due to a physical problem, resulting in the qualification of Claudia Fernandez (last year’s champion alongside Triay) and Bea González, who in Milan won in 2023 with Delfi Brea and was again a finalist last year, also with Delfi. Sánchez and Josemaría earned their spot in the final after defeating Andrea Ustero and Sofia Araujo 6-3, 6-1 in the opening match of the day.

MEN While the women’s final will feature the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds, the men’s title match will be a repeat of last year’s, and one of the most common finals on the world circuit. On one side Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, on the other Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan. The showdown is scheduled not before 6 p.m. on the Allianz Cloud centre court, where three of the four players have already lifted the Milano P1 trophy: in 2022 and 2023 it was Galan, paired with Juan Lebron, while in 2024 the world No. 1 duo took the title 6-4, 7-5. In the first of today’s semifinals, Coello and Tapia beat Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk 6-4, 6-3; in the evening session, Chingotto and Galan prevailed 7-6 6-4 over Martín Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger (6). The head-to-head record now stands at 17-7 in favor of Coello and Tapia: tomorrow’s clash will be their tenth meeting of 2025, with a season record of 7–2.
