Ortega, teaming up with Tamara Icardo, defeated Claudia Jensen and Ale Alonso 6-3 3-6 6-1 and will face Ale Salazar and Martina Calvo (who won 6-0 6-3 against Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga) in the semifinal that will open tomorrow’s play. In the bottom half, Sofia Araujo, now partnering Andrea Ustero, beat Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias 6-2 6-3 and will meet Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, who advanced with a 6-4 6-1 win over Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda.
