FIP Silver Hong Kong, two European silver medalists among the seeds

After reaching the semifinals at last week’s FIP Bronze in Hong Kong, Pedro ‘Peu’ Araujo is back, this time at the FIP Silver, again in Asia. Still paired with Youssef Hossam, the Portuguese player—silver medalist at the FIP Euro Padel Cup—tops the men’s draw of 32 pairs, ahead of Julien Seurin from France and Dutch player Thijs Roper. Other pairs competing for the title include Miguel Melero & Nicolas Zurita and Dylan Guichard & Antonio Luque.

On the women’s side, the draw is led by Aimee Gibson from the UK and Alba Perez from Spain, who previously stood out in another FIP Silver held in China last May. Right behind the top seeds are Ana Varo and Lucia Micaela Fernandez, followed by Patricia Araus and Carla Fitó. Other seeded players include Melissa Martin—European champion in 2019 and French champion in 2023—alongside her compatriot Camille Sireix, who, like Araujo, won silver with the French women’s team at the FIP Euro Padel Cup.
