Day2. Dal Pozzo and Bellver win the day’s marathon. Now it’s the stars’ turn

Two hours and 58 minutes of battle on the Cancha Estadio to kick off a week of excitement. The Day2 marathon at the Premier Padel GNP Acapulco Major featured Italian Giulia Dal Pozzo and Spanish Sandra Bellver defeating another Italian, Giorgia Marchetti, and French Lea Godallier, with a score of 5-7 7-5 6-4. Both draws are now aligned for the second round, scheduled today from 3 p.m. local time (10 p.m. CET), with the debut of all the world’s top players. The top four seeds of the women’s draw will instead debut tomorrow in the round of 16, as will Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, who advance due to the withdrawal of Diego García and Salva Oria.

Opening the programme on the central court will be Marta Ortega and Tamara Icardo (5) against qualifiers Rebeca Lopez and Nati Lopez Diaz. They will be followed by Ale Alonso and Claudia Jensen (6) facing Noa Canovas and Laia Rodriguez. Next comes the debut of Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan (2) against Enrique Goenaga and Luis Hernandez, and the return of the “Superpibes” Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno (4) against Alvaro Montiel and Juan Cruz Belluati. On the Cancha Caliente, the first match for Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger (5) will be against Guille Collado and Pol Hernandez.
