Alsdorf, The new era of the NextGen starts from Germany

The 2026 season of the FIP tournaments starts this weekend, with more than 80 young players ready to compete in the Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12 categories in Alsdorf, where the FIP Promises Aachen Euregio Cup is scheduled. This is the first big event of this year and the absolute debut of the FIP Promises Continental-Europe. So, the new era of the circuit of the International Padel Federation starts in Germany. This era will be completed in 2027 with the introduction of a global Under 18 circuit, reserved for the NextGen. From this year, the global structure will be organized into continental competitions in all categories (FIP Promises Europe, FIP Promises America, FIP Promises Asia/Oceania and FIP Promises Africa), with men’s and women’s rankings for all categories and Finals divided by continent.

A new format that aims to promote competition and growth at a global level, while increasing accessibility and participation of young padel fans all over the world. This confirms the growth trend of recent years, which saw the FIP Promises circuit go from 3 tournaments organized in 2021 to 90 in 2025, with a total of 537 draws played (313 men’s and 224 women’s) by 4,759 young players from 62 countries.
