Jose Luis Gonzalez enters the history of the CUPRA FIP Tour. The Spanish player, with the victory at the FIP Bronze Mallorca together with Antonio Fernandez, reached 13 wins on the international circuit, becoming the most successful player ever together with the Italian Marco Cassetta. The decisive result was 7-5 6-4 in the final at the Academia Rafa Nadal against the pair Del Castillo–Vilariño. In the women’s draw, the victory went to Eugenia Guimet and Sofia Saiz, the number two seeded pair, thanks to a 4-6 6-3 6-3 win in the final against Patri Martinez and Marta Arellano.
LAST DANCE FOR MOYANO In Mallorca, right in front of a legend like Rafa Nadal, Ramiro Moyano played his last tournament. The Argentine player, who had already announced his retirement, played together with his son Juan Pedro “Juanpe” Moyano, at his absolute debut in the CUPRA FIP Tour. “It is a dream to have finished my career with my son. Padel has given me everything, and this is a small push for my son to start his path as a player,” said the world champion with Argentina in 2012.
