Marseille, Guerrero-Leal and Salazar-Alonso lead the draws in France

The padel season is taking off. After the Generali Hexagon Cup in Madrid, it’s time for the first FIP Platinum event of 2026, with 300 FIP ranking points at stake for the winning pairs and many top-100 players in the draw. At the Palais des Sports in Marseille, it will be a week not to be missed, with the first round of the main draw scheduled for Wednesday and the finals to be played on Sunday.

Leading the men’s draw will be Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal, ranked 14 and 16 respectively; on the other side, as No. 2 seeds, Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini, who are also directly through to the round of 16 along with the other top seeds, Tolito Aguirre and Alex Arroyo (3) and the “Javis” García and Barahona (4).

There will also be 28 pairs competing in the women’s draw: heading it is the “legend” Ale Salazar (No. 13 in the FIP ranking), who will play alongside Ale Alonso (12), with Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias as the No. 2 seeds. Completing the top positions are Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio as the No. 3 seeds; the final bye goes to Jimena Velasco and Marta Barrera, but there are many pairs ready to start the season by claiming a title in the top category of the CUPRA FIP Tour.
