INTERNATIONAL PADEL FEDERATION (FIP), PREMIER PADEL AND HEXAGON CONFIRM 2026 CALENDAR UPDATES
February 4, 2026
Lausanne – 4 February, 2026 – The International Padel Federation (FIP), in coordination with Premier Padel and Hexagon World Series, has confirmed a set of calendar updates designed to further strengthen the 2026 global Padel calendar ecosystem and deliver enhanced sporting conditions for players, events and partners.
Following joint discussions, FIP, in its capacity as the governing body for Padel, has approved to make key adjustments across the Premier Padel calendar — which continues to evolve through consistency and innovation — as well as the Hexagon World Series and the CUPRA FIP Tour. These changes will help streamline the scheduling while ensuring greater alignment with the official FIP calendar.
Key calendar updates include:
- The Asunción Premier Padel P2 will be hosted at the headquarters of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and has been moved from 18-24 May to 4-10 May 2026 – the week prior to the Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1 tournament, allowing players greater continuity and recovery time ahead of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour’s extended return to Europe for several tournaments.
- The Europe Premier Padel P2 – originally scheduled for 14-20 September 2026 – will now be converted into an official Hexagon World Series event taking place during the same week.
- Hexagon World Series events planned for 2026 are: September (14-20), October (22-25) and December (17-20). The official venues for all Hexagon World Series tournaments will be unveiled soon.
- FIP Platinum Albania will be added to the CUPRA FIP Tour, taking place during the week 25-31 May 2026, the week prior to the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel 2026 tournament.
These updates reflect FIP’s continued commitment to optimising the international calendar in the best interests of players, fans and stakeholders, while ensuring coherence across professional tours and federative competitions.
The adjustments also follow the strategic agreement announcement in December 2025 between FIP, Hexagon Cup and 54, to expand and elevate the official global team circuit – Hexagon World Series – governed by FIP and fully integrated into the official FIP calendar and federative pyramid. The series will expand the innovative team-based format of the Hexagon Cup into a multi-event global model, creating new commercial opportunities while strengthening the overall FIP ecosystem and the sport’s long-term Olympic ambitions.
FIP and Premier Padel have also formalised a new main-draw format for P2 tournaments in the men’s category for the 2026 edition of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour. The P2 main draws will feature 28 pairs (22 Direct Acceptances + 4 Qualifiers + 2 Wild Cards).
This decision is the result of extensive consultations carried out throughout the 2025 season within the Tour Steering Committees – comprising 20 members representing all 11 stakeholder groups of the tour, including player and coach representatives – aimed at ensuring a more dynamic and competitive structure for the 2026 season.
This change to the draw size is also made with player welfare in mind, which – alongside the introduction of the Star Point System in 2026 – will reduce playing time across the year.
Further details and updated calendars will be published on the FIP official website in due course.
