Marseille, Day4. The top four pairs of the draws reach the finals. Sunday promises a great show

The FIP Platinum in Marseille, the first top-category tournament of the 2026 CUPRA FIP Tour, is ready to crown its champions. The top two pairs from both draws have made it to the final at the Palais des Sports, where on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. they will compete for the trophy and 300 points in the FIP ranking.

The day will begin with the women’s final: two legends against two young talents ready in the coming years to fight for the very top positions in the rankings. Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso defeated Jimena Velasco and Marta Barrera 6-1 6-3, and will face Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio, who won 6-3 7-5 in the second semifinal against Daiara Valenzuela and Raquel Piltcher. Then it will be the turn of the men’s final, with Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini qualifying after a two-hour and 23-minute marathon, completed with a comeback (6-7 6-4 6-4) over Tino Libaak and Alex Chozas. On the other side of the net will be Javi Leal and Fran Guerrero, who needed only 52 minutes to beat Sanyo Gutierrez and Gonza Alfonso 6-2 6-3.
