A strong entry list for the FIP Silver Damac in Dubai, the most anticipated event of the week on the CUPRA FIP Tour. At the NAS Sports Complex, from Wednesday the 32 men’s and women’s pairs in the main draw will take to the court to compete for 80 points in the FIP ranking and €20,000 in prize money, with eighteen top-50 players taking part. In the men’s tournament, attention will focus on Javi Garrido, who at the start of the year moved his residence to the Emirati city. Together with Lucas Bergamini (14), the world number 21 will seek the title after coming close at the FIP Platinum in Marseille earlier this month and at the CUPRA FIP Finals in December; in the lower half of the draw, Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado also feature after reaching the round of 16 at the P1 in Dubai last November. Among the seeded pairs are Gonzalo Rubio/Pablo Lijó (3), Xisco Gil/Maxi Sanchez (4), Inigo Jofre and Arnau Ayats (5), while Nuno Deus will attempt a repeat success after last year’s title alongside Frenchman Thomas Leygue (8).
Heading the women’s draw are Noa Canovas and Laia Rodriguez, competing in their second tournament of the year after reaching the round of 16 at the Riyadh Season P1. Leading the lower half of the draw are Marta Borrero and Ksenia Sharifova (3), the latter a winner of the 2025 edition alongside Marta Talavan. Also in contention for the title are Maria Riera/Teresa Navarro (3) and Leti Manquillo with Melania Merino (4). After Wednesday’s opening round, the tournament will reach its decisive stages over the weekend, with the semi-finals on Saturday and the finals scheduled for Sunday.
