CUPRA FIP Tour arrives in Singapore, focus on Cremona-Richters and Putria-Perez

A new historic stop for the CUPRA FIP Tour, which arrives in Singapore for the first time, where the FIP Bronze main draw will be played from Friday to Sunday. After victory in Melbourne and a final in Madeira in another FIP Bronze event, Italy’s Simone Cremona and the Netherlands’ Sten Richters are the favourites for the title. In the top half of the draw, their main challengers will be the Spanish pair Pablo Sanchez and Adrian Naranjo, the No.3 seeds. In the bottom half of the draw are the No.2 seeds: Argentina’s Julian Lacamoire and Spain’s Adrian Ronco. The pair came into the tournament following a semi-final appearance at the FIP Silver held in the city of Espoo, Finland. Another competitive pairing is that of Spain’s Marcos Cordoba and Borja Trujillo, who this season triumphed at the FIP Bronze in Mumbai, defeating the Netherlands’ Thijs Roper and Sweden’s Daniel Appelgren in the final.

The No.1 seeds in the women’s draw are Indonesia’s Novela Putria and Spain’s Alba Perez, the latter seeking her second title of the year after winning the FIP Bronze in Doha. Next are Carla Fernandez and Nerea Guerra, who in January triumphed at the FIP Bronze and Silver Australian Padel Open in Melbourne. The No.3 seeds in the tournament are Spain’s Lucia Pérez and England’s Catherine Rose, while the No.4 pair is formed by Portugal’s Patrícia Ribeiro and Japan’s Kotomi Ozawa.
