From Portugal to Chile: two new stops for the NextGen
March 6, 2026
One event in Europe and one in America. The FIP Promises Tour features two new tournaments this week, scheduled in Trofa (Portugal) and Viña del Mar (Chile).
More than 100 pairs will compete until Sunday in the Chilean city at the Club del Bosque. Among the most anticipated are Ramiro Vileda and Alonso Villavicencio, the number one seeds in the Under 18 boys’ draw. In the same girls’ category, attention is on Valentina Osorio and Esperanza Lamatta, winners of the FIP Promises Viña del Mar last year. There will be four girls’ draws — Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 — with the same categories also contested in the boys’ draws.
The NextGen will also compete in Trofa, at Rua Central de Cedões, where the finals of the seven draws — four boys’ and three girls’ — are scheduled for Sunday. Attention is on the Dutch sisters Anshika Rajagopal and Rishita Rajagopal, who lead the seeding in the Under 16 girls’ draw.
