Brazil: Gayone–Suescun for first 2026 title, Santos–Ramme lead women’s draw
March 6, 2026
The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Brazil with the FIP Bronze Gaúcho. The main draw is scheduled from 6 to 8 March in Santa Maria. In the men’s draw, the top seeds are Manuel Gayone and Nicolas Suescun, who are seeking their first title of the year. Among the contenders are also Leonardo Yob and Franco Dal Bianco (3). After their triumph last January at the FIP Bronze in San Antonio, Chile, the Argentine pair are aiming to repeat their success: their potential semi-final opponents are fellow Argentinians Axel Guevara and Pablo Molina Tofanelli (2). Also entered in the tournament are two other Argentinians, Luciano Puppo and Maximo Maldonado (4).
The number 1 seeds in the women’s draw are Portugal’s Catarina Santos and Mexico’s Camila Ramme, both ranked in the top 100 of the FIP Ranking. Ramme will look to bounce back after the retirement defeat she suffered in the final of the FIP Bronze in Doha last January, where she competed alongside American Brittany Dubins. Next in the seeding are Brazilians Manuela Schuck and Cristina Cirne (2). Earlier this year, Schuck partnered Italian tennis player Sara Errani at the FIP Silver in Melbourne. The number 3 seeds in the main draw are Brazilians Alessandra Abbud and Fernanda Abarzúa. Another pair to watch is formed by sixteen-year-old Julia Giusti Gomes and Gabriela Menna, both Brazilian and making their seasonal debut.
