Singapore celebrates the winners of the first CUPRA FIP Tour event
March 9, 2026
A weekend to remember for Adrian Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez: the Spanish players, both born in 2006, claimed the FIP Bronze in Singapore, the first CUPRA FIP Tour tournament held in the country, thanks to a victory in the final against Marcos Cordoba and Borja Trujillo (6-3, 6-2). “Champions! Great tournament my friend – Naranjo wrote on his Instagram profile -. Now we return home to prepare for the next tournaments.” The pair did not concede a single set throughout the event: among the notable results of the week was their 6-3 6-2 victory over the men’s top seeds, Italy’s Simone Cremona and the Netherlands’ Sten Richters.
Catherine Rose and Spain’s Lucia Pérez, the tournament’s No. 3 seeds, claimed the women’s main draw title at the first CUPRA FIP Tour event held in Singapore. In the final, the two players defeated Carla Fernandez and Nerea Guerra (6-3 6-4). In the semi-finals, Rose and Pérez overcame the women’s top seeds, Novela Putria and Alba Pérez, in straight sets (6-3 6-0), denying Alba Pérez the opportunity to secure her second title of the year following her victory at the FIP Bronze in Doha.
