Portugal: Rajagopal sisters claim title in Trofa

A new title for Dutch sisters Anshika and Rishita Rajagopal, who triumphed in the Under 16 category at the FIP Promises event in Trofa, Portugal. The two players had already won the FIP Promises in Turin in February. In the same boys’ category, victory went to the Portuguese pair Afonso De Almeida Lacerda and Eduardo Esteves Aniceto Do Carmo. Francisco Goncalves Da Silva and Pedro Ortigosa Martín claimed the Under 18 boys’ title.

At the Trofa tournament, other Portuguese NextGen players also recorded victories. In the Under 12 boys’ category, the home duo Alfonso De Carvalho Leal and Martim Baptista triumphed, while Joao Afonso Simoes and Francisco Sa won the Under 14 boys’ event. In the same girls’ age group, Francisca Cravo secured the title alongside Spain’s Martina Cao Sierra. The latter also competed in the Under 12 draw, winning together with Portugal’s Matilde Gueiral.
