Mumbai, golden moment for Vilariño: title in India with Rubio

Nacho Vilariño continues his strong run of form: following victory at the FIP Silver in Parma and a round of 16 appearance at the Premier Padel P1 in Miami, he claimed the title at the FIP Bronze Mumbai II in India, partnering Gonzalo Rubio, No. 42 in the FIP Ranking. The top seeds enjoyed a dominant campaign, securing the title without dropping a set. The win came with a straight-sets victory in the final over Thijs Roper and Willy Tiger Slaryd (6–3 6–1), after defeating Agustin Reca and Victor Tur Checa in the semi-finals (6–4 7–6).

For Rubio, the title in India marks his first of the 2026 CUPRA FIP Tour season. With this result, the Sevilla-born player reaches 13 career titles on the tour, drawing level at the top of the all-time list with Jose Luis Gonzalez and Marco Cassetta.
