Aguascalientes celebrates the Mexican Ramme
April 13, 2026
Winning a tournament in one’s home country has a special meaning; doing so twice even more so. Camila Ramme knows this well, as she triumphed in the FIP Bronze in Aguascalientes alongside Manuela Schuck, repeating last year’s victory in Mexico. The title for the champions came with a final win over Ainize Santamaria and Jimena Díaz (6-4 6-7 6-3), the tournament’s No. 2 seeds, while in the semi-finals they had defeated the pair of Renata Martinez and Julia Giusti Gomes (6-7 6-4 6-4). This title marks the second triumph of the year for both players: the Mexican had claimed the FIP Bronze in Santa Maria, while Schuck had won the FIP Bronze in Joinville.
“Thank you to all the spectators – said Ramme after the victory -. I enjoy playing in Mexico and the way people in this country experience this sport is unique. I am pleased with this success. We also had to work hard at times. I am very happy with the title and to play together with you, Manu. This win gives me the motivation to continue working”. Schuck also commented on the victory: “Thank you to everyone who supported us. It is a great pleasure to play in Mexico. I came into this tournament after reaching two consecutive FIP finals. I am working hard. When match point came, I had not even realised it was the decisive point. I would also like to congratulate our opponents because they had a fantastic tournament. It is a pleasure to play with you, Cami, and we hope to repeat this result”.
