Jimenez Colombres-Botta pair claim double title in Villarrica

The Promises FIP Tour stage held in Villarrica, Chile, was a success: eight draws and more than 100 matches in which the NextGen of padel, both male and female, competed with a single objective: victory. Matias Jimenez Colombres and Joaquin Botta enjoyed a standout weekend by securing a double title. The pair won the boys’ Under 18 title at the end of a closely contested final against the top seeds Alonso Villavicencio Mancilla and Tomas Guzman (5-7 7-6 10-5). The champions then also defeated the latter in the Under 16 category, where he competed alongside Joaquin Alegria (6-3 6-3). In the girls’ events, notable victories were recorded by the pairs Isabella Curkovic-Sofia Valdebenito Barrios and Antonia Francisca Salomon De La Maza-Fernanda Abarca in the Under 12 and Under 14 age groups respectively.
