Dal Bianco-Maldonado go again: Camboriú the stage for another celebration

Almost a month after their victory in Chile, Franco Dal Bianco and Maximo Maldonado return to action at the FIP Silver in Camboriú, Brazil, a men’s tournament offering 80 FIP Ranking points and €9,000 in prize money. The Argentine pair headline the main draw, which gets underway on Friday, ahead of a strong contingent of compatriots. Among them, in the bottom half of the draw, are young Santino Contreras and FIP Gold Shanghai champion Facundo Lopez (2). Also representing Argentina are the No. 3 seeds Joaquin de Astoreca and Leonardo Yob, while Manuel Gayone will team up with promising Paraguayan talent Facundo Dehnike (4).

Among the home players, attention will be focused on Matheus Simonato, last year’s champion alongside Luca Cunha. The Cascavel-born player will compete this time with Uruguay’s Higor Ensslin Alves, and a potential semi-final could set up a rematch with Maldonado, whom Simonato defeated in the 2025 final.
