October 9, 2026
ROME – Young padel talents are ready to showcase their skills on courts around the world. Four events on the FIP Promises Tour will take place this weekend. In addition to the FIP Promises West Java, scheduled to take place in Bandung in Indonesia where 191 pairs are registered (an Asian record), young players from around the world will compete at three other events: León (Spain), Taastrup (Denmark) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
There will be plenty of action at the FIP Promises León, with eight draws in total: four boys’ draws and four girls’ draws, across the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 categories. In the oldest boys’ category, Samu Rivas-Nicolas Aguirre Sanchez lead the draw. Rivas has already established himself on the CUPRA FIP Tour, winning the FIP Bronze tournament in Helsingborg, Sweden, in March before claiming victory at the FIP Bronze in Alicante in September. The girls’ draw Under 16 is led by the Spanish pair of Marina Herrera Serrano and Samantha Fernandez Call.
From Spain to Denmark. The other European stop on the FIP Promises Tour is the FIP Promises Familien Hede Nielsens Fond. Players will compete in four boys’ draws (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18) and three girls’ draws (Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18). The Spanish duo of Daniel Beneyto Sanchez and Leon David Ruiz Shannon lead the boys’ Under 18 draw. Their main challengers for the title are Daan Jans and Junior Brydolf. In the girls’ category at the same age level, two all-Danish pairs will compete: Ella Elmkjaer-Vestergaard-Filikka Rosendahl Skalkam and Cecilie Haslund-Madeleine Dehn Christoffersen.
The FIP Promises Damac Dubai II is preparing to host the four boys’ draws scheduled for the tournament (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18). The top seeds in the oldest age category are Kazakhstan’s Arnur Tursynkhan and Islam Duissengazin. The pairs of Mohamed El-Hamamy and Hassan Adel Waly, and Ali Abdulla and Fahad Alhooli, are seeded behind them. In the Under 16 category, the favourites to win the title are Kuwait’s Yaqoub Zainal and Sayed Hashem Almazeedi.
