Marta Ortega, born in Madrid, Spain, in 1997, began playing padel at a young age and quickly established herself as one of the most promising players of her generation. Her progression through the junior categories was exceptional, winning World Padel Junior National Couples Championships at under-14, under-16 and under-18 level.
She made her professional breakthrough while still a teenager and went on to become one of the youngest players to reach the top of the world rankings. Her intelligence on court, consistency and ability to adapt to different partners have allowed her to remain among the leading players of women’s professional padel for more than a decade.
Ortega has enjoyed success across both the World Padel Tour and Premier Padel eras, competing regularly against the world’s best and continuing to add important titles to her career.
Her international record with Spain is equally impressive. Ortega has won four FIP World Cups with the national team, in 2014, 2021, 2022 and 2024.
She has won 16 titles on the major professional circuits in the history of padel:
13 World Padel Tour (2 Masters — Marbella 2019 and Portugal 2019 — and 11 Opens)
3 Premier Padel (1 Major Italy 2023 and 2 P2s — Genova 2024 and Newgiza 2024)
She has also won 2 World Padel Tour Challenger titles (Albacete 2022 and Getafe 2022).
