Italian champions Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta are the candidates to win the FIP PROMOTION scheduled for the weekend in Albania. The CUPRA FIP TOUR makes a stop in Tirana, with the two Italians – who won the Italian title last November – leading the entry list. Cassetta is looking for his second success in a row after becoming champion last Sunday in Giulianova, paired with Spaniard Joaquim Florensa Hernandez.
On the other side of the main draw – made up of 28 pairs and played at the Albania Padel Court – there are two other Italians, Lorenzo Di Giovanni and Daniele Cattaneo, who, against Cremona and Cassetta, were the protagonists of an all-Italian first round in the Premier P1 in Milan last December.
The other two pairs who will be able to take advantage of a bye, thus skipping the first round and going straight into the round of 16, are the Spaniard Alvaro Montiel Caruso and the Argentine Valentino Acosta Kremnitzer (seeded number 3) and the French Julien Seurin and Bastien Blanque, the fourth seeded pair.
