Day5. Claudia and Bea checkmate the queens. Coello-Tapia vs. Chingalan: revenge or hattrick?
November 15, 2025
From Kuwait to Dubai, from the final of the FIP World Cup Pairs to the final of the last P1 of the season. Once again, it will be Arturo Coello, Agustín Tapia, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan fighting for the padel throne. We start again from the two consecutive victories by “Chingalan” (in Milan and, indeed, in the World Cup final), but also from an overall 17-9 record in favor of the world No. 1s (7-4 in 2025). The last semifinal of the day was also the final match together as a pair for Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk, defeated 6-1 7-6 by Chingotto and Galán. In the first men’s semifinal, Arturito and Agus beat Javi Garrido (who, in this end of 2025, seems to have regained his best form) and Lucas Campagnolo 6-4 7-6 in an hour and a half.
WOMEN While the winners of the men’s FIP World Cup Pairs will also compete for the title in Dubai (with a 10–8 trophy record in 2025 for Coello and Tapia), the champions of the women’s World Cup fell in the semifinals. Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez (coming off three straight titles, including Milano and Newgiza) were defeated by Claudia Fernandez and Bea Gonzalez, who earned the chance to return to winning ways with a 4-6 7-6 6-3 victory in two hours and 44 minutes — their last title dating back to Madrid. In the Spanish capital, Claudia and Bea triumphed over Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, who are also the No. 1 seeds and tomorrow’s opponents. While the first semifinal was a marathon, the second lasted only one hour and eight minutes, with Delfi and Gemma dominating 6-1 6-2 versus Andrea Ustero and Sofia Araujo.
The women’s final will not begin before 6:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. CET), and the men’s final not before 8:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. CET). Dubai is ready to crown its queens and kings.
