The Paraguayan Padel Federation officially joins the National Olympic Committee. Carraro: “A wonderful news”

An extraordinary milestone: through an official statement released via its media channels, FEPARPA – the Paraguayan Padel Federation – announced that the COP, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, has officially approved FEPARPA’s affiliation as an Associate Member of the Committee. “We celebrate a great step forward”, reads the note from the Paraguayan Federation which, rightly proud, continues in its official announcement: “This recognition strengthens our work as a National Sports Federation and encourages us to continue growing and to build an increasingly strong Paraguayan padel”. The president of FEPARPA, Diego Sebastián Galeano, stated: “For the first time in history, the Paraguayan Padel Federation becomes part of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee. For us, it is an important milestone because it allows us to have a voice within the Olympic structure”.

The president of the FIP, Luigi Carraro, officially congratulated FEPARPA: “My thanks, and that of the entire FIP, go to president Diego Sebastián Galeano and the national federation he leads for this wonderful news. It is an important achievement”, commented the FIP’s top representative, “a valuable piece in the great mosaic that we are all building together for the future of padel. And I want to thank the COP and its president, Camilo López, for welcoming padel into the Paraguayan Olympic family”.

In November 2023, the capital Asunción, one of the oldest cities in South America, hosted the XIV FIP Juniors Padel World Championships,  (in the photo: a moment from the presentation of the teams in Asunción), which recorded extraordinary success at all levels.
