From Portugal to South Africa: four events across three continents
March 27, 2026
It will be a busy weekend for the FIP Promises Tour. Padel’s NextGen players will compete in four events spread across three continents: Elvas (Portugal), Cape Town (South Africa), Karachi (Pakistan) and Hong Kong.
In the Portuguese tournament, Samuel Rivas Garcia and Izan Ranera Pedrero, the top seeds in the Under-18 draw, start as favourites to claim the title. Their main challengers are Francisco Gonçalves Da Silva and Javier Merino Nieto (2), with the pairing of Juan Moro Klusek and Victor Escorihuela Dealbert (3) also to be watched. In the Under-16 girls’ draw, the pair to beat is the Portuguese duo Matilde Santos and Carolina Mascarenhas (1).
The NextGen players will also take to the court in South Africa, where eight draws are scheduled (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18, both boys and girls). Muhammad Saley and Fayzaan Anverali lead the boys’ Under-16 draw, while in the Under-18 girls’ category the spotlight is on Caterina Frazzitta and Imaan Valli (1).
In Pakistan, a total of four boys’ draws will be contested (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18) at the Neo Maidan KMC in Karachi. In Hong Kong, four draws will take place: Under 12 and 14 for both boys and girls.
