The night of the No. 2 seeds. First title for Josemaría and González, confirmation for Chingalan
March 30, 2026
Almost five hours of play were required to crown the champions of the Miami Premier Padel P1. At the Miami Beach Convention Center, as in last year’s edition, it was the No. 2 seeds who lifted the trophies, underlining a level of uncertainty set to characterise the entire Premier Padel season. For Paula Josemaría and Bea González, it marked their first Premier Padel title as a pair, while in the men’s draw Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán confirmed the success they had already achieved in Florida in 2025. The Miami crowd witnessed a high-level evening, with both finals decided in a third set.
WOMEN Paula Josemaría and Bea González produced a notable comeback, having won the first set 6-3 and lost the second 6-4, before trailing 5-3 in the third against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, champions in Miami in 2025. A strong finish allowed Josemaría and González to win four consecutive games and secure — at the fourth attempt — their first title of the season after a match lasting two hours and 57 minutes. “We have worked very hard”, said Josemaría, who became emotional during the interview. “We dreamed of this first victory together. Thank you to everyone who always supports us. We are very happy and I dedicate this win to my family for their fundamental support”. “The season had not started in the best way, but we have worked very hard with the help of our team”, added González. “We have our identity and we have maintained it, focusing on improving the details. Today we enjoy this title”.
MEN The men’s final also went to three sets, with Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán defeating Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 in one hour and 51 minutes. The match was decided by fine margins, as reflected in the statistics: 42 smashes to 38, 60 winners to 57, and just two fewer unforced errors (23 to 25) for Chingotto/Galán, who claimed their second title of 2026 after Gijón, as well as their second consecutive title in Miami. “Thank you to the crowd for coming, it was a very demanding tournament and I am pleased to have won it again”, said Galán. “Arturo and Agustín are a strong team, but through daily work we aim to achieve results like this, also thanks to Federico, who was the best player in this final and whom I am pleased to have alongside me”. “Every final is a different challenge”, added Chingotto. “We continue to work as ‘Chingalán’ and now focus on the next tournament”.
