Cairo, NextGen padel takes centre stage in Egypt

Young padel talents will return to the court this weekend to compete in a stage of the FIP Promises Tour scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt. A total of seven draws will be contested at the FIP Promises Athleticans II: Under 12 boys, and Under 14, 16 and 18 categories for both boys and girls. The “HPark-HPadel” venue will host all matches of the tournament.

 

In the Under 18 boys’ category, the title will be contested between the top seeds, Mohamed Atef Shebl-Zeyad Elbehery, and Max Bendel-Martin Araguete Sales. Attention should also be paid to Fernando Pastrana Sampayo and Mohamed El Hamamy. In the same age group for girls, the pair Judy Amr-Salma Ezzat are among the contenders for the title, along with Lily Wael and Malak Amer. The Under 16 and 14 boys’ main draws are led respectively by Youssef Elsherbini-Yassin Omar Youssef Abohamed and Ezz Hussein Hassan Ahmed-Ali Mohamed Tahseen. Among the pairs aiming for the title in the Under 16 girls’ category are Jaya Omar-Lily Wael and Natalie Robert-Sama Salem.

 

This tournament takes place in Egypt one week after the staging of the Premier Padel P2 in Newgiza, confirming the country’s importance in the growth of padel. In addition, Egypt will host two other significant events for the NextGen: the FIP Junior Africa Padel Cup 2026 and the FIP Africa Padel Cup 2027.
