FIP Academy now live with its introductory-level Coaching Programme course

With the official launch of the platform developed by the International Padel Federation (FIP), the FIP Foundation Course – Level 0 of the FIP Coaching Programme – is now available online, marking a key milestone in the development of a highlevel global education pathway for padel coaches.

The journey towards modern and accessible training in the world of Padel has taken its first significant step. Following the initial announcement, the FIP Academy official platform is now live https://fip-academy.com/

FIP Academy reflects FIP’s commitment to establishing a unified global standard of preparation, enabling coaches and referees, regardless of their location, to access high-quality education and contribute actively to the growth of Padel in their respective territories. The initiative aims at supporting national federations in building robust structures, promoting the professionalisation of the sector, and establishing a global training system based on shared standards and high-quality content.

FIP FOUNDATION COURSE The first step in this pathway is the FIP Foundation Course (Level 0), the introductory level of the Coaching Programme, available in English and Spanish. The course, entirely online and lasting 15 hours, has been designed for global accessibility and self-paced study. Content has been developed by an international expert committee – Rodrigo Ovide, Angel Gonzalez, Jorge Bellmont, Marcela Ferrari, Ramiro Choya, Javier Sanchez “Pozanco”, Maxi Grabiel, Ariel Saravia, and Álex Ruiz – and is structured into progressive units. The programme includes videos, theoretical content, images, and exercises for a complete and structured learning experience. Participants who successfully complete the final assessment receive the Coaching Assistant certification, the first level of the training pathway recognised by FIP Academy.

ADVANCED LEVELS The FIP Foundation Course (Level 0) serves as a necessary preparatory step for access to the subsequent phases of the Coaching Programme, which in the coming months will expand the training pathway with additional content and levels of specialisation. The structured and progressive system will develop across four further levels:

  • FIP Coaching Course (Level 1): certifies coaches to operate within the FIP Beyond circuits
  • FIP Professional Coaching Course (Level 2): qualifies coaches to work in official CUPRA FIP Tour and FIP Promises competitions
  • FIP Elite Coaching Course (Level 3): prepares coaches for major international events, including the Premier Padel circuit
  • FIP Master Coaching Course (Level 4): trains coaches for national teams and high-performance programmes, and may provide access – subject to individual evaluation and approval – to the FIP Academy teaching staff.

Alongside the Coaching Programme, the platform will progressively incorporate the Officiating Programme, focused on referee training in line with the Federation’s technical standards, beginning with the integration of the Level 1 Referee Course, with additional courses to follow. It will also host FIP Lab, an open space designed to expand knowledge and skills in Padel at all levels.

“With great satisfaction, pride and commitment, we have succeeded in creating a programme that meets the standards of the International Padel Federation and the development needs of our sport”, said Guillermo Alcaide, FIP Sports Director. “FIP Academy represents a training pathway through which participants will be able to become top-level coaches and make a concrete contribution to the growth of padel in their respective territories – in line with one of the FIP’s core missions – while successfully advancing their professional development”.

With the launch of the FIP Academy platform and the introductory-level course, the International Padel Federation realises its vision: a unified standard of preparation, where coaches and referees can access high-quality training regardless of location, reinforcing the central role of education in the global development of the sport.
