Ijuí, Schuck-Cirne target home title in Brazil
April 16, 2026
The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Brazil with the FIP Bronze in Ijuí. Leading the women’s draw are home players Manuela Schuck, recent winner of the FIP Bronze in Aguascalientes, and Cristina Cirne. The pair are aiming for the title after finishing as runners-up this year at the Brazilian FIP Bronze events in Joinville and Santa Maria. The top seeds are placed in the upper half of the draw alongside the pair of Catalina Arancibia and Kimberley Ahumada Carrasco (3). In the opposite half are Fernanda Abarzúa-Alessandra Abbud (2), seeking their first title of 2026 on this circuit, and Julia Giusti Gomes, born in 2009, who will compete alongside Gabriela Mena Barreto.
Following their victory in March at the FIP Silver in Joinville, Luciano Puppo and Maximo Maldonado are aiming to secure their second title of the year. Their main challengers for the title are the tournament’s top seeds: Juani De Pascual and Franco Dal Bianco. In 2026, the former has won the FIP Bronze events in Burriana and Agrigento, while the latter triumphed at the FIP Bronze in San Antonio partnering Leonardo Yob. Yob will also compete in this tournament, joining forces with Geremias Caluva. Other pairs in the draw include Kevin Kviatkovski-Teo Gamondi and Diogo Corrêa Rodrigues-Adrián Miranda.
