April 14, 2026
The Mumbai stage of the FIP Promises Tour in India has concluded. Atharv Shinde-Mahit Pabari won the title in the boys’ Under 14 draw, a category in which they are ranked n. 5 and 7 respectively in the Asian FIP Promises Ranking. The pair secured this success thanks to a final victory over Vihaan Vivek Anand and Aarav Acharya (7-6 6-2). The champions did not drop a single set against their opponents throughout the entire tournament. Over the weekend, also in Mumbai, the FIP Silver was held, with Rodrigo Coello-Alfonso Sánchez (men’s draw) and Marta Barrera-Jimena Velasco (women’s draw) taking the titles.
India is among the emerging countries worldwide in the development of padel. As confirmation of this expansion, over the past 15 days Mumbai has hosted four tournaments: one FIP Silver, one FIP Bronze and two stages of the FIP Promises Tour.
