Francisca Cravo secures double home title in Portugal

The FIP Promises in Albufeira, the Portuguese stop of the FIP Promises Tour, has come to an end. The standout performer of the weekend was home player Francisca Cravo, who claimed both the girls’ Under 14 and Under 16 titles. In the first category, Cravo lifted the trophy alongside Francisca Almeida after defeating Mariana Pedroso and Sofia Perpetua in the final (7-5 6-4). The same pair were also beaten by Cravo in the Under 16 title match, where she partnered Carolina Mascarenhas to secure a straight-sets victory (6-0 6-1). Beatriz Cunha and Fernanda Ribeiro Guimaraes were crowned champions in the Under 12 category.
In the four boys’ draws, Manuel Ramirez Perez and Juan Carlos Gutierrez Guerrero became the Under 18 champions in Albufeira. The two young talents, after defeating Salvador Simões and Fábio Da Costa Araujo in the semi-finals (6-3 7-6), went on to overcome Hugo Iglesias Garcia Bustamante and Alvaro Salcedo Villares in the final. The Portuguese Under 16 title was won by Guillermo Nogueras Cuenca and Alberto Barril Ramos, who defeated Victor Berrocal Sandoval and Joao Afonso Simoes in straight sets in the final match. This FIP Promises Tour event preceded the arrival of the CUPRA FIP Tour in the country, with the FIP Silver Oeiras scheduled for next week.
