The draws. Premier Padel heads to South America: first Paraguay, then Argentina

After the excitement of the Brussels P2, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour heads to South America for two consecutive tournaments: first the Asuncion P2 in Paraguay, then the Buenos Aires P1 in Argentina. The tour resumes following the first title won by Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger and the third consecutive triumph for Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez, but also the titles claimed in 2025 by Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan in the men’s draw and by Bea Gonzalez herself (partnering Claudia Fernandez) in the women’s draw.

MEN A total of 28 pairs will compete in the men’s tournament, with Paraguayan talent Facundo Dehnike (born in 2008) receiving a wild card alongside Marcel Font and potentially facing Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas in the round of 16. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, defeated in Brussels, will open against Lucas Campagnolo and Jairo Bautista or a qualifying pair; meanwhile, Chingotto and Galan will begin against Inigo Jofre and David Gala or two qualifiers. These are the projected quarter-finals: Coello/Tapia (1)-Nieto/Sanz (6), Garrido/Bergamini (8)-Lebron/Augsburger (4), Stupaczuk/Yanguas (3)-Gonzalez/Di Nenno (7), Guerrero/Navarro (5)-Chingotto/Galan (2).

WOMEN In the women’s tournament, 24 pairs will compete, with the eight seeded pairs entering directly in the round of 16. Josemaria and Gonzalez, champions in Miami, Newgiza and Brussels, will make their debut against Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga or against Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo, two dangerous pairings. Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, meanwhile, will face either a qualifying pair or Alix Collombon and Jana Montes. These are the projected quarter-finals: Brea/Triay (1)-Salazar/Alonso (7), Icardo/Jensen (5)-Sanchez/Ustero (3), Fernandez/Araujo (4)-Guinart/Virseda (8), Ortega/Calvo (6)-Josemaria/Gonzalez (2).
