The FIP Bronze Lotto, the first historic CUPRA FIP Tour event in Poland, concluded with victory in the men’s draw for the Dutch pair Youp De Kroon and Julian Prins, who secured their second consecutive win following last week’s triumph at the FIP Bronze in Prishtina, Kosovo. The Bydgoszcz champions, after overcoming second seeds Nico Zurita and Roberto Belmont in the semi-finals in a third-set tie-break (6-7 6-1 7-6), defeated the pair composed of Sweden’s Douglas Rutgersson and Portugal’s Diogo Jesus in the final (6-4 7-6).
Camila Fassio and Maria Delgado were crowned women’s champions following a perfect tournament in which they defeated the seeded pairs. The champions first recorded a clear win over top seeds Janine Hemmes and Victoria Kurz (6-1 6-1), before overcoming in a closely contested final María Portillo, this year’s winner of the FIP Bronze events in Baku and Alexandria (Egypt), and Carmen Castillón (6-3 4-6 7-6). “Cami, thank you for believing in me and for giving me this incredible opportunity – said Delgado after the triumph -. We fought until the end and secured the victory. I would also like to congratulate our opponents for both the strong tournament they played and the level they showed in the final against us. I also thank everyone who is with us every day: without you, none of this would be possible”.
This tournament represented a key milestone in the global expansion of padel, marking the circuit’s first-ever event in Poland. The country is among the 17 new nations that in 2026 will host, or have already hosted, a stage of this circuit. According to data from the World Padel Report 2025 of the International Padel Federation, Poland has 50,000 amateur players.
