The historic first CUPRA FIP Tour event in Poland

This weekend will see the official debut of the CUPRA FIP Tour in Poland, with the FIP Bronze Lotto scheduled to take place in the city of Bydgoszcz. The country is among the 17 new nations that in 2026 will host, or have already hosted, a stage of this circuit. According to data from the World Padel Report 2025 by the International Padel Federation, Poland has 50,000 amateur players.

Victoria Kurz is aiming to continue the positive run of results achieved in recent months: last week, alongside Nati López Díaz, she won the historic first edition of the FIP Bronze in Prishtina, while in April in Cyprus, again partnering the Spaniard, she won the FIP Bronze and reached the final of the FIP Silver. This time, the German will play with Dutch player Janine Hemmes. Their main rivals for the title are María Portillo, winner this year of the FIP Bronze tournaments in Baku and Alexandria (Egypt), and Carmen Castillón. Last week, the two players reached the final together at the FIP Bronze in London. Spanish player Camila Fassio, finalist at the end of April in the FIP Silver in Bari, will play with Maria Delgado, while Lucia Fernandez, who became champion in Azerbaijan alongside Portillo, will compete with Ana Sanchez.

The battle for the title will be closely contested, with several pairs capable of challenging for victory. The number 1 seeds are Tonet Sans and Gustavo Nunes, who are looking to bounce back after their defeat in the final of the FIP Bronze in Baku played at the end of April. Also in focus are Youp De Kroon and Julian Prins, who will arrive in Poland boosted by their victory at the historic first edition of the FIP Bronze in Prishtina. The pair became champions in Kosovo thanks to their success in the final against Pau Miñano and Pepe Aliaga. The latter will also be in Bydgoszcz and will target not only revenge against their opponents, but also victory in the CUPRA FIP Tour event. The tournament wild cards have been awarded to the Polish pairs Kamil Czerwonka-Kamil Grzybowski and Maksymilian Pawlicki-Aleksander Jan Pawlicki.
