A global NextGen: FIP Promises takes centre stage across five continents

Five events across five different continents, for a NextGen that is becoming increasingly global. This weekend on the FIP Promises Tour begins in Asia, specifically in Malaysia, where the circuit dedicated to young padel talents will make its debut. Just a few kilometres from Kuala Lumpur, seven draws will be played at Joy Division Padel for the FIP Promises High Velocity Selangor, at the same venue currently hosting the FIP Bronze event for professional players. The courts will feature not only Malaysian boys and girls, but also athletes from Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China and other countries.

 

In Durban, the FIP Promises The Travel Boss Cup will be held, the fourth event of 2026 in South Africa following stops in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Centurion. Four draws for both boys and girls will compete for the titles at Rockets Padel & Social. Among the leading players is Imaan Valli, the South African leader of the FIP Promises Africa Under 18 girls’ ranking, partnering Caterina Frazzitta (number 5).

 

From Africa to Europe, where the FIP Promises Tour moves to another stop in Spain, in Sabadell. More than 100 pairs are entered, from Under 12 to Under 18. Among the most anticipated players are Marcos Sanchez Pestaña and Victor Escorihuela Dealbert in the boys’ Under 18 category, while in the girls’ event of the same age group, Aina Etxebarria and Noa Liza Rivera stand out.

 

The final two stops are in the Americas, starting with the United States: following last winter’s event, the Tour returns to The Woodlands, Texas, for the FIP Promises Wakit Rakit, featuring six draws across boys’ and girls’ categories from Under 14 to Under 18. Finally, Brazil, specifically Curitiba, one of the key hubs for the South American NextGen and beyond: it will host its third tournament of the year in the capital of Paraná state, this time featuring boys’ Under 14 and Under 16 categories.
